The history of my tribute started after the recent passing of my 100 year old mother. I was given a huge bouquet of flowers from a dear friend, as time passed & so did the flowers...there were bits & pieces that would drop on the table. I liked these bits, so I collected them for awhile...during that time I began a collage that just seemed to flow out of my heart. So of course I was thinking this is a memorial to my mom, I began collaging the bits into what turned into a stylized family tree image. When it was almost completed I felt like it represented both of my parents together (my dad had passed about 40 years prior). I felt much peace after creating this art work, as art can be very healing.
